Quick Take: Facebook has announced new measures to counter hacking accounts, and spam messages. In the new measure, the impacted people will have a new verification process to accertain that they are true owners of the account.

Quick take: As per June’09 Comscore US search engine rankings, Microsoft sites have moved from 8% to 8.4%, the 0.4% increase dredited to Bing. Google share stays consistent, but overall queries has gone down by 2% from 9.3 to 9.1 billion.

Quick Take: Google’s Friend connect gadget can support 47 new language for its app users. The new connect claims “Once selected, most Google-created gadgets and any translated third party gadgets on your site will automatically render in that language. This ensures that the Friend Connect gadgets are better integrated into your site and easily understood by your visitors.”

Quick Take: As per Nielson Online’s press release on June’09 audit data for US net users, Faceleads the timespent at 4.39 hrs/person in the month, with 87 million unique visitors. Google leads in Unique visitors with 155 million followed by microsoft sites with 139 million.

Quick Take: Jetpack 0.3 has been released from Mozilla Labs, which required firefox 3.5, this new version can “perform an action on or upon a selection, for example, look up a selected word on Wikipedia.”, in addition it has a new slide bar.
